About Me

Hi, I’m Donna

I’m a person‑centred counsellor offering a calm, compassionate space where you can explore whatever feels important right now. People often come to me when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or heavy — and my role is to walk alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and respect for your pace.

I believe deeply in the power of being truly heard. When someone sits with you without judgement, without rushing you, and without trying to “fix” you, something meaningful can begin to shift. That’s the heart of my work.

I was drawn to counselling because I’ve seen how transformative it can be when someone finally feels heard — really heard.
I believe everyone deserves a space where they can show up exactly as they are, without fear of judgement or expectation. Creating that space for others is something I care about deeply.

My Experience & Qualifications

I have over 20 years’ experience supporting people through challenging and often traumatic situations. My background includes working within the criminal justice system, supporting victims of crime and those affected by sexual and domestic abuse, as well as more recent work with offenders.

I’ve also supported many people outside the CJS too, giving me a broad, compassionate understanding of the different ways people experience and respond to experiences. This breadth of experience helps me meet each person with understanding, sensitivity, and respect.
